Stone cladding is one of the most effective ways to create a natural, textured wall finish without building with full-depth stone. It is popular for fireplaces, chimney breasts, living room feature walls, kitchens, restaurants, exterior walls and garden projects because it gives the appearance of traditional stonework in a slimmer, easier-to-handle format. Customers also search for stone slips, stone veneer, cast stone cladding, stone wall tiles and stone cladding panels, but the aim is usually the same: a realistic stone finish that adds depth, texture and character to a wall.

Our stone slips are made to replicate the uneven texture and individual shape of real stone. Measuring is straightforward. Multiply the height and width of each wall to get the square metre area, then divide by the box coverage. Our stone cladding boxes cover approximately 0.8m², and we recommend adding around 10% extra for cuts and waste. Corner packs are calculated separately because they cover approximately 1 linear metre in height. If you are cladding a chimney breast with two outside corners, measure both vertical returns and add them together so the correct number of corner packs is ordered.

Colour choice should always be checked with samples. Stone cladding can look different depending on the lighting, mortar colour, wall size, flooring and surrounding décor. A finish that looks warm in a sample photo can appear lighter or darker on a full wall. Ordering samples first lets you compare the texture, colour variation and depth before buying full boxes.
