Brick slips, otherwise known as brick tiles, brick veneers or slip bricks, are thin cladding units designed to create the appearance of exposed brickwork. They can be purpose-made or cut from the face of a full brick. Our range focuses on purpose-made precast brick slips for internal and external projects.
Purpose-made brick slips can offer a more consistent finish from batch to batch than cut brick facings, which can naturally vary in colour and shade.
Brick Slips vs Facing Brick Slips
Cut brick facings are made by slicing the face from a full brick. They are installed individually in much the same way as purpose-made brick slips, but their dimensions, thickness and weight vary by product.
Our brick slips are purpose-made from cement, pumice and pigment. Their slim profile reduces the depth required compared with full brickwork and can make them easier to use for decorative cladding. Always check the dimensions and coverage shown on the individual product page before ordering.
Can Brick Slips Be Used for a Fireplace?
Yes. Our brick slips are listed as Fire Class A1 and are non-combustible. They can be used for fireplace surrounds and log-burner projects when the complete installation is suitable for the appliance and location.
Whether you are creating a simple log-burner backdrop or a full chimney-breast feature, there are traditional and contemporary options available. For a classic finish, consider Rustic Cottage Red Blend Brick Slips or Rustic Farmhouse Brick Slips. For a more neutral look, Rustic Grey Brick Slips are another current option.

Our brick-effect tiles are purpose-made precast products made from cement, pumice and pigment rather than ceramic, clay or porcelain tiles with a printed surface pattern. The face colour and texture are hand-finished to create variation between individual slips.
Brick Veneer - Brick veneer broadly describes a thin layer of brick or brick-like material applied to an internal or external surface to create the appearance of traditional brickwork. The term can refer to cut brick facings or manufactured brick slips. Our brick veneer products are purpose-made precast brick slips, offering a slimmer alternative to building a full brick wall.
