The Benefits of Brick-Slips UK?
- Unlike others we do not use 20mm cut brick slips. Our brick slips are hand made right here in the UK. This ensures your bend is consistent, with no variation from your samples. We create our Brick Slips using a mix of cement and pumice to give a pre-casted finish. Even better then this, our Brick Slips are up to 30% lighter and 25% slimmer then Clay Brick Slips.
- Another benefit of brick slips is that they are super easy to install! All brick slips are installed just as you would with tiles. Using adhesive to fix them to the wall and then instead of grouting you just use sand and cement pointing mix to give it that real brick finish.
- Because our Brick Slips are pre-casted using cement and pumice they are Fire Rated A so can be used anywhere in our outside the home as they are non-combustible. A further benefit that no other brick slip can offer, is that our Brick Tiles are sealed before we deliver them to you!
- Brick Slips are also known by other names such as Brick Tiles, Brick Cladding, Brick Panels and Brick Effect tiles. No matter what you call them, our slips will look amazing in your home!

What are brick slips?
Brick slips are thin slices of brick designed to give walls the look and texture of real brickwork without building a full structural brick wall. They are often used for interior feature walls, fireplaces, kitchen splashbacks, shop fits, restaurants, external cladding details, porches and renovation projects where a genuine brick finish is wanted but space, weight or build-up depth matters. Because they are much slimmer than a full brick, brick slips can be fixed like a tile using suitable adhesive and then pointed to create a traditional brickwork appearance.
Customers often search for brick slips, brick tiles, brick cladding or brick effect wall finishes, but the main advantage is the same: you get a real brick style surface with a practical installation method. The product page shows the selected brick slip finish, live variant pricing, sale pricing, sample ordering and a calculator for working out boxes, corner brick slips and accessories before adding everything to cart.
Can brick slips be used outside?
Yes, these brick slips can be used outside when they are fixed to a suitable, stable and correctly prepared surface. The key is to treat them as a real exterior brick cladding finish rather than a decorative sticker or lightweight panel. The wall should be clean, sound and able to carry the load, and the fixing products should be suitable for the surface and exposure. For most exterior brick slip projects, customers use a suitable brick slip adhesive, consistent 10mm joints and pointing mortar to protect the joints from weather.
For exterior brick slips, allow for movement, drainage and sensible installation conditions. Avoid fitting in heavy rain, frost or extreme heat, and always check goods before arranging installers. If you are cladding a porch, garden wall, house return or exterior feature area, order samples first so you can check the brick colour and texture in natural light. For fitting guidance, read our brick slips installation guide.
Do I need corner brick slips?
Corner brick slips are used when the brick finish needs to wrap around a visible outside edge. They are most common on chimney breast front edges, fireplace openings, porch returns, pillars, external house corners, garden features and window or door reveals where a flat cut edge would make the project look tiled rather than built from brick. A corner brick slip creates the return, so the wall has depth and looks much closer to traditional brickwork.
You do not normally need corner brick slips for internal corners, such as the inside back corner of an alcove, because straight brick slips can usually be cut and fitted neatly. In the calculator, choose whether you need corners and enter the total length of outside corners you want covered. The calculator then converts that length into the recommended number of corner brick slips using the setting in this section.
How do I calculate how many brick slips and corners I need?
The easiest way to work out how many brick slip boxes you need is to measure the height and width of each wall area, multiply them together, then allow for sensible wastage for cuts, edges and sorting the natural colour blend. Each full box covers approximately 0.5m2, but always check the live coverage shown on the selected product because different brick slips or variants can be packed differently.
The calculator on this product page is built to do this for you. Choose meters, ft, cm or inches, enter your wall height and width, add your total corner length, tick the 10% wastage option if required, then calculate. It will show the calculated wall area, total boxes, total corners, the estimated cart total and the amount saved compared with compare-at prices. You can then add the calculated order to cart without manually rebuilding the quantities.
Can I order more than one sample?
You can add one sample pack of this product to the cart. The page is set up to prevent customers from adding more than one sample pack of the same brick slip product, and the warning only appears after someone tries to exceed that limit. This keeps sampling fair and helps make sure more customers can check the colour, face texture and finish before placing a full order.
Samples are useful because brick slips are a natural-looking surface and can appear different depending on lighting, grout colour, surrounding decor and whether they are used indoors or outdoors. Delivery is free on samples, so it is sensible to order a sample before committing to a larger feature wall, fireplace, kitchen splashback, exterior brick cladding project or commercial fit-out. Once you are happy with the sample, use the calculator to order boxes, corner brick slips and accessories.
What accessories do I need for brick slips?
Most brick slip installations need three core accessories: suitable brick slip adhesive, pointing mortar and spacers. Adhesive fixes the slips to the prepared wall, spacers help keep the joints consistent, and pointing mortar fills the joints to create the finished brickwork look. Depending on your surface, you may also need primer, sealer, cutting tools or cleaning products, but the essentials are usually adhesive, mortar and spacing.
The calculator includes an Add accessories drop-down so the page stays clean until you need it. After you enter your measurements, the accessory quantities update based on the calculated wall area or box count. You can open the drop-down, review what has been recommended, change quantities with the quantity selector, remove anything you do not need and then add the calculated brick slips, corner brick slips and selected accessories to cart together.
