Do you need stone corner packs?
Use stone corner packs where the finish wraps around a visible outward-facing edge. These are external corners, such as chimney breast front edges, outside house corners, porch returns, pillars and window reveals.
Internal corners, such as the inside back corners of a fireplace recess or alcove, are normally completed by cutting straight stone cladding pieces to fit.

What is stone cladding?
Stone cladding is a decorative facing system used to give walls the look and texture of natural stone without building a full structural stone wall. Stone slips are fixed to a prepared surface with suitable adhesive, then pointed to create a realistic stonework finish. They are commonly used for fireplaces, chimney breasts, feature walls, garden walls, exterior elevations, porches, house returns, commercial interiors and renovation projects where a natural stone effect is wanted with a slimmer build-up.
Customers often search for stone cladding, stone slips, stone wall cladding, stone veneer, exterior stone cladding or stone cladding panels. This product page is built around those search terms while still staying practical: customers can view the selected stone finish, choose a sample pack, select full boxes or corner packs, see live sale pricing, use the stone cladding calculator and add the correct order to cart.
Can stone cladding be used outside?
Yes, stone cladding can be used outside when it is fixed to a suitable, stable and correctly prepared surface. The wall should be clean, sound and able to carry the weight of the cladding, and the fixing materials should be suitable for exterior exposure. For most exterior stone cladding projects, customers use a suitable stone cladding adhesive, primer where required, consistent joints and pointing mortar to protect the joints from weather.
Exterior stone cladding should be installed in sensible weather conditions. Avoid fitting during frost, heavy rain or extreme heat, and always check goods before arranging installers. If you are cladding a porch, garden wall, exterior house return, fireplace opening or commercial feature, order a sample first so you can check the stone colour, depth and texture in natural light. For fitting guidance, read our stone cladding installation guide.
Do I need corner packs?
Stone corner packs are used when the stone cladding needs to wrap around a visible outside edge. They are most common on fireplace front edges, chimney breasts, porch returns, pillars, exterior house corners, garden walls, window reveals and door reveals where a flat cut edge would make the finish look less natural. A corner pack creates the return, so the finished wall has depth and looks closer to traditional stonework.
You do not normally need corner packs for internal corners, such as the inside back corner of an alcove or recess, because straight stone cladding pieces can usually be cut and fitted neatly. In the calculator, choose whether you need corners and enter the total external corner length you want covered. The calculator converts that length into full corner packs, using the setting that one pack covers approximately one linear metre.
How do I calculate how much stone cladding I need?
The easiest way to calculate stone cladding is to measure the height and width of each wall area, multiply them together, then divide the total area by the coverage per box. This section defaults to 0.8m2 per box for stone cladding. If you want to allow for cuts, sorting and natural variation, tick the 10% wastage option and the calculator will add the allowance before rounding up to full boxes.
For stone corner packs, measure the total external corner length you want covered. The calculator defaults to one corner pack covering approximately one linear metre, then rounds up to full packs. Choose meters, ft, cm or inches, enter your wall height and width, add your total external corner length and press calculate. The page will show calculated wall area, total boxes, total corner packs, accessories, cart total and savings if ordered today.
Can I order more than one sample?
You can add one sample pack of this stone cladding product to the cart. The page is set up to prevent customers from adding more than one sample pack of the same product, and the warning only appears after someone tries to exceed that limit. Customers can still order samples from different stone cladding products, but not multiple sample packs of the exact same product.
Samples are useful because stone cladding can look different depending on lighting, pointing colour, surrounding materials and whether it is used indoors or outdoors. Free delivery on samples is available, so it is sensible to order a sample before committing to a larger fireplace, feature wall, exterior cladding project, garden wall or commercial fit-out. Once you are happy with the sample, use the calculator to order boxes, corner packs and accessories.
What accessories do I need for stone cladding?
Most stone cladding installations need suitable adhesive, pointing mortar and, depending on the surface, primer or preparation products. Adhesive fixes the stone cladding to the prepared wall, pointing mortar fills the joints, and primer helps prepare certain backgrounds before fixing. You may also need cutting tools, a mixing bucket, brush, sealer or cleaning products depending on the project and the surface you are working on.
The calculator includes an Add accessories section so the page stays clean while still being practical. After you enter your measurements, the accessory quantities update from the calculated wall area or box count. You can review the recommended amounts, change quantities with the plus and minus controls, remove anything you do not need and then add the calculated stone cladding boxes, corner packs and selected accessories to cart together.
